Here are just some of the key reasons why anyone and everyone should train.
Regardless of your reasons for trying Jiu Jitsu, whether for exercise, sport, because you like MMA, at it's core, it is self-defense. Jiu Jitsu promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves or another against a bigger, stronger, heavier assailant by using proper technique, leverage, and most notably, taking the fight to the ground, and then applying joint locks and chokeholds to defeat the opponent.
You don't need to be in shape!
We hear it all the time, "I need to get in shape first, then i'll try it." Whether you are out of shape, or in the best of shape, you work at your own pace. We are all here to support each other with our short and long term goals. Just come in and take a class, do what you can, push yourself and soon you'll start seeing a difference. Make new friends
Las Vegas is definitely a hustle and bustle type of city, with people working around the clock. People come and go, and it can be hard to make meaningful friendships. Once you begin training, you'll meet lots of people trying to accomplish similar goals. You'll help each other, sweat, celebrate, succeed together and ultimately, that's what makes us a family.
Do you have to be a fighter?
Absolutely not. Our students range from Jiu Jitsu enthusiasts, high school students, stay at home parents, to professional athletes. Everyone has their own goals they are trying to achieve and we will always stress hard work and dedication. We are not here to hurt each other, so Listen to your body, and just do your best.
